Mana Manuela, from Lereloho Subvillage, Fuiloru Village, Lautém Municipality, used to struggle with traditional farming. Her harvests were small and unpredictable, making it difficult to support her family and children’s education.
Her life began to change when she joined a horticulture group through the Agro Negósiu Bee ba Moris Diak (ABMD) Project, implemented by ADRA Timor-Leste with support from ADRA Australia and funded by the Australian Government through the ANCP program. This vital funding made it possible to provide practical training, introduce improved farming techniques, and supply tools like tunnels and drip irrigation. 
Today, Mana Manuela grows a variety of vegetables and sells them at the local market. She also shares her knowledge with other farmers, inspiring her community. 
Her story demonstrates how international support, combined with skills and determination, can strengthen livelihoods and build resilient communities in Timor-Leste.
