In Dilor, Viqueque Municipality, one family turned a small start into a lasting change. With ginger (ailia) seeds provided by ADRA, they began planting and replanting season after season—multiplying their harvest, feeding their family, and earning income from sales.
Even though the local farmers’ group is no longer active, the family continues growing ginger because it is easy to cultivate, economically valuable, and manageable. Their knowledge of proper planting techniques is also being shared with other women in the community, inspiring more families to succeed in farming.
A small seed can create lasting change for families and communities.

We are deeply grateful to the New Zealand Government through MFAT and ADRA New Zealand for your strong support, which has made a meaningful difference in our community.
